For the first time, Beethoven’s complete nine symphonies are being performed in Hawaii. Hawaii Symphony Orchestra is putting on the series honoring the legendary composer’s works including the dramatic and iconic Symphony No. 5 juxtaposed with his more light-hearted Symphony No. 8 on March 6, and Symphony No. 9 “Ode to Joy” with a full chorus as a spectacular grand finale on March 9 (Blaisdell Concert Hall).
