Set aside time for Honolulu Museum of Art’s new spring exhibits. On view through August 17, hanging scrolls to woodblock prints share the theme of Japanese festivals (matsuri) in “Matsuri!” Landscapes, portraits and nature’s patterns are among five subject areas in “Franco Salmoiraghi: Photographs of Hawai‘i from the 70s, 80s, and 90s,” which explores the Midwestern photographer’s deep affinity for Hawaii (May 23-October 12).
