Following a multimillion-dollar renovation, Romer Waikiki at The Ambassador reopened this month. The Sixties-era hotel upgraded 368 guestrooms with new décor and sliding glass doors to private lanais, commissioned local designer Matt Bruening for staff uniforms; added a lava rock wall to the lobby, and unveiled Romer’s Swim & Social Club. Key cards doubling as neighborhood maps and curated guides encourage exploration.
